Crystallos "crystal" farming

Posted by: AronosHonorblade on Jul 25, 2008 - 09:28 AM
Crystallos "crystal" farming started last week. It was a first visit, so there were a few hiccups, along the way.

We got everyone there, one of the crystals. That leaves just 9 more to go.

Toonz has the 4 quests to trigger all 10 of the golems now (only had 2 last week, so we started about halfway down the valley. We will do this a little differently starting this week.

~ Raid starts at 6pm west coast time / 9pm east coast time, and will last a maximum of 3 hours. Be on time, and we can get more done.

~ Come with a way to invis yourself, if you are late to the start. We may not have CoH available, so come prepared.

~ DO NOT come with the missions to trigger the golems, or we will have multiple golems to contend with, and wipe. REMOVE the mission, if you have it, before coming. We only need one person per raid, to trigger them, and it is Toonz. Once you have all 10 of your crystals, you may get the missions, do the combines, and do the hand in, without having to trigger the golems yourself, as ALL the crystals can be pre-looted beforehand.

Here is the plan:

~ Meet at the vendor, on the way to the golem valley. We will buff up everyone there, invis, and head to the first side valley.

~ We will get everyone their crysal from the first golem, top off buffs, and if time for more, head to the next side valley from there, and so on, until we call it a night. We will do the golems in order: closest to Vendor first, farthest last. We will continue the following week, where we left off from the previous week.

~ if you are present, and need a crystal, please let Spum know at the start of the raid, so I can put together a list, and know how many spawns we will need at each fountain.

~ Toonz will drop from the raid at each Golem encounter, so he can trigger more, until everyone gets them. He will participate at the last kill at each station, to get a kill credit, and his own crystal.

~ At each golem fountain: VERY IMPORTANT> be shrunk and invis. The whole time we are in the fountain, from before triggering the golem until last crystal has been looted, EVERYONE needs to hug the back wall of the fountain. The only person NOT hugging the back wall should be the main tank. All casters, healers, dps, and anyone else should stay glued to the back wall. Invis will drop once we start fighting. as soon as golem is killed, we should reinvis everyone again. We can avoid all adds from outside the fountain if we work as a team, and technically only have 2 or 3 golems per encounter, to kill. Or we can play sloppy, get yard adds and yard named on us, and eat up our time dealing with that. The yard adds and yard named drops NO GEAR, fyi, so there is really no reason to kill more than what we need to.

~ We can get everyone 2 or 3 crystals a week (in 3 hours). The less wipes, and the quicker we can get started, the more we can pack in per night. This can take 3-8 weeks. I believe everyone would prefer 3 weeks over 8. The sooner we can get these done, the sooner we can start reaping the rewards.

~ If you have not completed your MMM access quest, please see Spum for assistance. Send a /tell or in-game e-mail to Spum.

We did "ok" last week: we made a few minor errors. We can do "excellent", with the knowledge we gained on our first exploratory run.

See you all on Saturday night!
